Museum of Science, Boston

The Museum of Science in Boston has an enormous T-rex out front, and that's just the beginning. It is a great place for kids and adults to visit together, and to learn about all kinds of stuff at the same time. There are interactive stations, films in the Omni Theater's IMAX screen, and a planetarium that they can explore. Tickets start at 16 dollars for adults, and 13 dollars for children.

New England Aquarium

The New England Aquarium is another fantastic place to take a family. Kids and adults alike will enjoy looking at penguins, seals, jellyfish, sea turtles, and a coral reef, just to name a few of the exciting exhibits at the aquarium. There is a tide pool for children to enjoy getting their hands wet, and you can also go on a whale watching tour near the Aquarium as well.

Frog Pond and Tadpole Playground

The Frog Pond is located in Boston Common, and is one of the most popular attractions during the year. In the winter, the pond is frozen over for ice skating, and in the summer it is a wading pool for young children. The Tadpole Playground is a play structure that is near it, with a water play area, a safety play surface, and bronze frog statues.

Fenway Park

A great thing to do with kids of any age in Boston is to take a tour of Fenway park. This is great for young sports fans, and children and adults who love to hear stories. You can take a look at where the team plays, and explore behind the scenes when you take a tour. If you're lucky, you can catch a game there as well!

Harvard Natural History Museum

At the Harvard Natural History Museum, kids and adults alike will enjoy exploring and learning at the same time. TOMB

TOMB is a popular interactive adventure that is great for a group outing. It is set in a Pharaoh's tomb. Those who are participating play the part of archaeologists who are looking for a professor, and have fun completing puzzles and challenges. It is spooky, so its best suited for slightly older kids.

Franklin Park Zoo

Like all great zoos, the Franklin Park Zoo is a fantastic place to take the kids in Boston. There are more than 200 species of animals to enjoy at the 72 acre zoo. The traditional favorites like lions and gorillas are there, but there are also exotic animals like tapirs and tree kangaroos.

Boston Children's Museum

Another great place to take the kids is the Boston Children's Museum. This is a museum that is specifically designed with youngsters in mind, and provides them with an exciting way to learn and grow.

Swan Boats

Going on a Swan Boat is a great way to spend a sunny Boston Day. The boats in the Public Garden are open from mid April to mid September, and offer a 15 minute ride around the Public Garden Lagoon. You can access the Frog Pond from the same area, so it might be fun to combine the two!

Duck Tours

One of the most fun tours that you can take of Boston is the 80 minute Duck Tour. These World War II amphibious vehicles travel by land and by sea, and allow you to learn as much about Boston as you can during the time. The tours, lead by conDUCKtors, are entertaining and full of great history and facts.
